On June 4, 2026, the award ceremony for the “Top 10 Sports Events in Shenzhen 2025” was successfully held at the Shenzhen Sports Museum. The BSK Basketball Championship was officially selected for the list of Shenzhen’s Top 10 Mass Sports Events, earning official municipal recognition! From being shortlisted for the competition at the beginning of the year, through rigorous qualification reviews, expert evaluations, and public online voting, the tournament ultimately secured this prestigious annual honor. This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of all fans and participating players!

Earlier this year, the Shenzhen Bureau of Culture, Tourism, and Sports officially launched the 2025 Citywide Sports Event Selection. With 91 high-quality events from across Shenzhen competing for recognition, the BSK Basketball Championship successfully made it into the shortlist of the top ten mass sports events. As a grassroots basketball IP born in Shenzhen in 2020, BSK is rooted in the community and dedicated to the masses. With its founding philosophy of operating at a level “below the professional but above the amateur,” it has deeply cultivated the grassroots basketball market and is hailed by fans as “China’s Street Basketball Spring Festival Gala.” Since its inception, the tournament has been held in 364 cities and brought together 7,200 participating teams. At the end of last year, the national finals were held at Spark in Dalang, Shenzhen. Throughout the year, tens of thousands of grassroots players took to the BSK courts to give their all, while tens of millions of fans cheered them on both online and offline.

Based in Shenzhen, BSK continues to champion the concept of mass fitness. Its tournaments reach every district and neighborhood in the city, collaborating with areas such as Longhua and Dalang to create new basketball-centric experiences. Through a “sports + commercial districts + cultural tourism” model, BSK revitalizes the city’s mass sports scene, bringing street basketball into the daily lives of residents. This approach truly enables everyone to participate, watch, and enjoy sports, perfectly aligning with the selection criteria for Shenzhen’s mass sports events: “benefiting all citizens and igniting the city’s vitality.” From making it through the nominations to officially winning the award, the massive support from fan votes, the cheers at every game, and the tens of millions of likes and shares on short-video platforms were the key factors that enabled BSK to stand out.

Moving forward, BSK will continue to be based in Shenzhen while expanding its reach nationwide. We will continuously optimize our tournament system, launch more basketball tournaments for the general public, and deepen our commitment to local community sports development. Aligning with Shenzhen’s development strategy of “building and revitalizing the city through sports,” we aim to create a benchmark grassroots basketball tournament that embodies Shenzhen’s unique identity and fosters widespread public participation.
